Lattice Infusion Therapy

Phase ONE

Consultation Phase

Medical and Psychological Assessment
  • Prior to any treatment, we conduct comprehensive medical and psychological evaluations to determine whether ketamine therapy is suitable for you. These assessments take into account your full medical history and present mental health status, ensuring the safety and effectiveness of ketamine therapy.

Induction and Immediate Care Phase

Initial Infusion Series

  • Once deemed a suitable candidate, you will begin the induction phase. This phase encompasses six ketamine infusions distributed over two to three weeks, dependent upon your specific needs and availability.

Infusion Session Parameters

  • Each session is meticulously planned to optimize your comfort and safety. Upon arrival, our staff will ensure you’ve not had anything to eat within the defined fasting period, register you in our OsmindTM electronic health record, take baseline vital signs, and carefully place your IV. You’ll then be escorted to our calming treatment room appointed with earplugs, eye masks, and earphones offering soothing music. Each infusion lasts about 40 minutes.

Post-Infusion Care

  • Immediately following each infusion, you’ll undergo a monitored recovery period as the effects of ketamine recede. For your safety, you are required to have a prearranged ride home with a responsible adult friend or family member.

Maintenance and Follow-Up Phase

Ongoing Treatment
Should the induction treatments prove effective, you may elect to proceed to the maintenance phase, designed to prolong the benefits of Ketamine infusion therapy. The frequency of maintenance infusions is tailored based upon your response to the initial phase and continual consultations between Lattice Infusion Therapy and your primary mental health professional.

Continued Monitoring and Adjustment
Each patient is provided access to app-based follow-up tools through our OsmindTM electronic health record system, including the PQ8 questionnaire. Alongside regular evaluations from your mental health provider, these tools help us finely tune the infusion parameters to align with your treatment goals, ensuring sustained effectiveness and adaptability to your changing needs.

Ketamine Infusion

Ketamine infusion therapy is a promising treatment option for conditions such as treatment-resistant depression, PTSD, chronic pain, and anxiety, with new indications being actively studied. Unlike oral or nasal forms of administration, IV infusion allows for precise dosing and controlled absorption within a so-called “therapeutic window,” ensuring maximum efficacy with comparable side effects. Research supports the rapid antidepressant effects of ketamine, which can provide relief within hours and may persist, offering a distinct advantage over traditional antidepressants that may take weeks to show effects. Our clinic specializes in IV ketamine infusions, delivering the medication directly into the bloodstream for the most effective response. The often rapid alleviation of symptoms can provide a therapeutic bridge for patients as their traditional medications take effect.

Oxygen Supplementation

To enhance the infusion experience, we offer oxygen supplementation during treatments. We routinely employ oxygen in cases of critical medical conditions or in the rare instance of an emergency. Additionally, patients may choose to use supplemental oxygen at their discretion. Research suggests that increasing oxygen levels can promote a deeper sense of relaxation and calm. This not only improves patient comfort but also contributes to the overall safety and effectiveness of the ketamine infusion process by helping to stabilize vital signs and alleviate anxiety. These benefits make oxygen supplementation a valuable adjunct to our therapeutic protocols, ensuring an optimal environment for treatment.

Immersive Sound with Earphones

Integrating immersive sound experiences through earphones during ketamine infusions can significantly enhance treatment outcomes. According to a survey conducted by Osmind, an overwhelming majority of patients (87%) reported that music improves the efficacy of their treatment. Our playlists are carefully curated to synchronize with the treatment, promoting a state of relaxation and receptivity. Research supports that music not only helps in soothing patients but can even mitigate the side effect of elevated blood pressure which can be associated with ketamine infusions.

The benefits of music are multifold; it provides comfort, reduces anxiety, and helps patients delve deeper into their therapeutic sessions which can influence the overall effectiveness of the treatment. By integrating music into our sessions, we aim to create an environment that enhances patient relaxation and contributes to the success of the therapy.

Concurrent Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation

Lattice Infusion Therapy offers the concurrent use of the Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation (CES) device to complement our ketamine infusion therapy at our patients’ discretion. Specifically classified as a Transcranial Alternating Current Stimulation (tACS) apparatus, it delivers small electrical currents that stimulate specific parts of the brain. It has been shown to decrease symptoms of depression effectively when used alone. In conjunction with ketamine, Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation can potentially enhance the antidepressant effects, supporting a multi-faceted approach to treatment that targets complex neural pathways involved in mood disorders.
